Vermin & Insect Decontamination

After a pest infestation has been treated by a pest controller, the property is left contaminated — droppings, urine, dead vermin in cavities, insect carcasses and shed exoskeletons, contaminated insulation and stored items, and the smells and pathogens that come with all of these. The pest controller's job ends with the pests gone; the cleanup is a separate task, and one that needs the right kit and the right precautions.

We provide after-pest cleanup and decontamination across the North East. We work with pest control companies, landlords, housing associations, food premises, hotels, and home owners after rodent or insect infestations. We don't do pest control itself — for that you need a licensed pest controller — but we handle everything that comes after.

Why this is specialist work

Pest contamination isn't ordinary dirt. Rodent urine carries leptospirosis (Weil's disease) and hantavirus risks. Pigeon droppings carry histoplasmosis. Cockroach residue triggers asthma and allergy responses. Mouse droppings spread salmonella. Disturbing this material with ordinary cleaning aerosolises pathogens that you really don't want to breathe.

Our team works in full PPE (FFP3 respirators, disposable suits, gloves, eye protection). We use hospital-grade disinfectants approved for biohazard decontamination. We bag and seal all contaminated material in heavy-gauge waste sacks for licensed disposal — nothing goes in domestic refuse.

Loft and roof void cleaning

Lofts are where most rodent infestations end up, and a long-running infestation leaves significant contamination — sometimes a layer of droppings several centimetres deep across whole sections of the loft. Stored items get contaminated, insulation gets soiled, and the smell penetrates into the rooms below.

Loft cleanups are physically demanding work in awkward conditions. We typically remove and bag contaminated insulation (it's often easier and safer than trying to clean it), vacuum droppings into sealed HEPA-filter vacuums, scrub joists and surfaces with biocide, and re-insulate where the customer wants. Smell often dissipates over a few weeks once the contamination is gone.

We work routinely with pest control companies across the North East as their cleanup partner. They handle the eradication; we handle the aftermath. This combined approach gives the customer a proper end-to-end service. If you've already had pest control done and need cleanup, we can come in directly.
