The story so far

We started Pressure Jet Washing because we saw too many tired-looking driveways, patios and roofs that didn't need replacing — they just needed cleaning properly. That was over a decade ago, and we've been doing exactly that across the North East ever since.

What started as a one-man-and-a-machine operation has grown into a small, dedicated team that covers Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Northumberland and Teesside. Despite the growth, we've held onto what made us different in the first place: turning up when we said we would, doing the job properly, and treating every customer's home like our own.

Our approach

Every job we quote is a free, no-obligation visit (or detailed photos by email if you'd prefer). We never high-pressure-sell anything you don't need, we never quote one price and charge another, and we always give you an honest opinion about whether what you're asking for is the right thing for your property.

If a roof would be better soft-washed than pressure-washed, we'll tell you. If your render is too far gone for cleaning to fix, we'll tell you that too. We'd rather lose a job than sell you something that won't work.

What makes us different

The pressure washing trade has a wide range of operators — from one-person-with-a-domestic-machine through to national franchises with their own price lists. We sit in the middle: a proper professional team with commercial-grade kit, but small enough that you deal with the same person from quote to invoice.

• Properly insured — £5m public liability, certificates available on request.
• The right equipment — petrol-driven hot and cold pressure washers, soft-wash systems, surface cleaners, drain jetters and pure-water poles. Domestic machines simply can't do what ours can.
• Trained and experienced — every operative knows the difference between cleaning sandstone and cleaning slate, and uses the right approach for each.
• Honest pricing — written fixed-price quotes, no surprises.
• Local — we live in and around the area we serve. We know the streets, we know the weather, and we know the kinds of dirt the North East throws at exteriors.

Domestic and commercial

Around 70% of our work is domestic — driveways, patios, decks, roofs, walls and the rest. The other 30% is commercial: shops, offices, factories, schools and housing associations. We bring the same standards to both, and we're comfortable with the paperwork (RAMS, COSHH, public liability evidence) that commercial work needs.
