Jet washing — also known as pressure washing — is the fastest, most effective way to lift years of accumulated dirt, algae, moss, oil, and atmospheric grime from outdoor surfaces. What jet washing actually does

Jet washing forces water at high pressure (typically 100–250 bar for professional work) through a specialist nozzle to lift dirt and contamination from surfaces. The pressure does the mechanical work of breaking the bond between dirt and substrate; the right detergent chemistry, where needed, dissolves the grime so the water can carry it away. The combination is far more effective than either pressure or chemistry alone.

On the right surfaces — block paving, concrete, brick, stone — jet washing produces dramatic before-and-after results in a single visit. On more delicate surfaces — render, painted wall, roof tiles — we switch to soft washing, which is the same principle but with much lower pressure and stronger chemistry. The right approach for the right surface is the most important decision on any job.

Why book a professional

Domestic jet washers from the high street top out at around 110 bar, which is enough to shift surface dirt but not enough to lift bonded contamination like lichen, ground-in oil, or atmospheric stains. Worse, focused-jet domestic lances make it almost inevitable that you'll leave tiger stripes — uneven bands of clean and dirty — across the surface.

Our equipment runs at 200+ bar, with hot-water options reaching 80°C, plus rotary surface cleaners that distribute pressure evenly to avoid striping. Combined with proper biocide treatments and re-sanding where appropriate, the result is a clean that looks better and lasts much longer than any DIY effort.

How we work

Every job we quote starts with a free no-obligation assessment — usually a quick site visit, or detailed photos by email if you prefer. We give a written fixed price with a time estimate, and the price you're quoted is the price you pay. Most domestic jobs are completed in one visit; larger or combined jobs (driveway plus patio plus gutters, for example) sometimes run to two days.

We're fully insured (£5m public liability), and certificates are available on request. We turn up when we say we will, in a sign-written van and uniformed, and we walk the finished job around with you before we leave.
