Caravan Pressure Washing

Caravans and motorhomes pick up dirt fast — black streaks running down the sides, algae on the roof, road grime up the lower panels, and accumulated grease around the engine bay on motorhomes. Whether you've just brought your van home from storage for the season, or you're getting it ready to sell, a professional clean transforms the look in a fraction of the time it would take you with a bucket and sponge.

We pressure wash caravans, motorhomes, campers and trailers across the North East — at our customers' homes, on storage sites and at dealerships. We use hot-water washing with caravan-safe detergents, and our approach is calibrated to be tough on dirt but gentle on the bodywork, decals, seals and acrylic windows.

What we clean

• Sides and panels — black streaks lifted with a specialist streak remover.
• Roof — algae and lichen treated with biocide; loose debris cleared.
• Lower panels and skirts — road dirt and salt residue lifted.
• Acrylic windows — gentle cleaning to avoid scratching.
• Awnings — fabric cleaned separately with appropriate cleaner.
• Plastic trims — algae removed from textured plastics.
• Wheels and arches — brake dust and tar lifted.
• Engine bays (motorhomes) — degreased.

Black streaks — the caravan-specific problem

The dark streaks running down caravan sides under windows and seam joints are a caravan-specific problem and a genuine pain to remove. The streaks come from a combination of road dirt, atmospheric pollution and rubber decay from window seals being washed down the side panels by rain. Domestic car shampoo doesn't shift them; caravan-specific streak removers do, and that's what we use.

We apply the streak remover by hand, agitate it gently, and rinse off with low-pressure warm water. The streaks lift cleanly and the panels come up looking new. We never high-pressure-wash a caravan side — the risk to seals is too high.

Roof treatment

Caravan roofs are particularly prone to algae and moss build-up because they're flat-ish and almost always sit out all year. We soft-wash roofs with a biocide that kills the growth at the root, then rinse with low-pressure water. We don't walk on the roof unless it's specifically rated for it (most aren't) — we work from a tower or stepladder around the perimeter.

When and where

We clean caravans at the customer's home, at storage sites (with the storage manager's permission), and at our own location if more convenient. For seasonal cleans (typically March/April for season opening, October for winter storage prep) we book up fast — get in touch early.

For dealership and rental fleet contracts we offer scheduled servicing — weekly, fortnightly or as turnover demands.
