Boat hulls accumulate marine growth — barnacles, weed, algae and slime — that need to come off before antifouling or maintenance work can begin. We pressure wash boat hulls and decks across the North East, both at marinas and on customers' driveways during winter storage.
Hull cleaning is typically done as preparation for antifouling, with the boat lifted out and the underside accessible. We pressure wash off the previous season's growth, scrape off any bonded barnacles by hand, and leave the hull ready for primer or antifoul application. We don't do the antifouling itself — we recommend specialist marine contractors for that — but we provide the proper foundation.
Above-the-waterline work covers gelcoat, decks, cockpits and superstructure. We use marine-safe detergents and moderate pressure to avoid damaging gelcoat or upholstery.
We work at most North East marinas (with the marina's permission) and at customers' homes during winter storage. Booking is busiest in spring (pre-season) and autumn (winter prep) — get in touch early for those windows.
