After Build Clean-Up

Building work always leaves more mess than it should. Cement splashes on driveways, plaster splatter on glass, brick dust on patios, mortar residue on the new render, paint marks where they shouldn't be, footprint trails on freshly laid stone — none of it ruins the build, but all of it stops the new home, extension or commercial unit looking finished. Our after-build clean-up service tackles the lot, properly and quickly, so you can hand over a job that looks the part.

We work with house builders, extension contractors, conservatory installers, commercial fit-out contractors and self-builders across the North East. Most clean-up visits are a single day's work; larger sites may take two or three. We bring our own water, our own power, and all the kit and chemistry to handle every surface a building site presents.

What we tackle on a typical clean-up

Cement and mortar removal

Cement and mortar are the most stubborn things to lift after a build, and the trickiest to get off without damage. Fresh splashes scrub off relatively easily; cement that's been left to dry on stone or block paving for weeks bonds chemically and needs proper handling.

We use specialist cement-removing chemistry that softens the bond between the cement and the substrate, followed by carefully matched pressure washing to lift the residue. On porous stone (especially Indian sandstone) we use buffered or pH-controlled products to avoid acid-etching the surface. The job needs an experienced eye — done badly, you swap a cement splash for a permanent burn mark.

Why use us instead of the builder

Most builders will jet wash a driveway as their final task, and most domestic builders own a domestic-grade pressure washer. The trouble is, that approach is rarely enough on a properly contaminated post-build site. The pressure isn't high enough to lift cement, the kit doesn't include the right chemistry, and the builder is rushing to finish, not to detail-clean.

A proper after-build clean takes proper kit and proper time, and that's what we bring. Many builders we work with bring us in as a final-week subcontractor specifically because the result is dramatically better than they could achieve themselves.

When to book

Ideally, after-build clean-up is the last task on site, before final inspections, snagging walks or handover. We can usually book in within a week or two of a call. For very large sites, or for ongoing relationships with house builders, we offer scheduled retained services with priority booking.
